    Launch APP with command line

    Hi people, i am trying to launche the built in dialer of Nokia 5800 from flash, but so far i didnt find a way, it seems that i need to launch it from a command line in flash, but i dont know how to launch from a command line, i´ve found this:
    fscommand("Launch", "0x100058B3?view=0x10282D81");
    but didnt work

    I´ve tryed this:
    fscommand("Launch", "phoneui.exe?view=0x10282D81");

    And them:
    var appManager = new Service("Service.AppManager", "IAppManager");
    var inParams = {ApplicationID:"s60uid://0x10282D81"};
    var outParams = appManager.LaunchApp(inParams);

    But nothing of the diealer open... anyone have some idea?? it seems that i need to run 0x100058B with a command line (CmdLine parameter) with 0x10282D81, but i dont know how to do this!

    Thanks!!

    Re: Launch APP with command line

    According to my observation, one cannot launch the dialer from Flash Lite in 3rd/5th edition devices even though some people not even able to launch them via Symbian C++ after knowing correct UID & name of the app. Read here :
    How-to-launch-5800-phone-dialer
    One of a quick alternative in Flash Lite is to create a UI of ur own and for dialing number use
    Code:
     getURL("tel:" + my_number);  //where my_number is a variable having the number to dial

    Re: Launch APP with command line

    Ok. but do anybody knows how to launch an app using a command line? the CmdLine is not there just for garnish, i would like to know how to use that...

    Thanks for the reply, i am already using the getURL, but when i try to check my credits ( *222# ) instead of sending the command to the operator it calls... but in built in dialer it doesnt work...

    Re: Launch APP with command line

    Hi andrecaballari,
    According to documentation, it should be work like this :
    Code:
    var appManager = new Service("Service.AppManager", "IAppManager");
    var inParams = new Object();

    inParams.ApplicationID = "s60uid://0x10008d39";//UID
    inParams.CmdLine = "argument_to_pass";
    appManager.LaunchApp(inParams, onReceive);
    function onReceive(transactionID:Number, eventID:String, outParam:Object) {
    trace(String(transactionID) + ":" + eventID + ":" + outParam);
    }
    Moreover, you can also try a plugin of kuneri lite which helps to launch apps with arguments.

    Btw, for sending USSD messages like "*44#" , the technique is different then just dialing a number thats the reason getURL just dial this number. However, you can launch service command app (having UID 0x10005955) from flash lite which can excecutes USSD messages for you .

    Re: Launch APP with command line

    Thanks again, but isnt there a way to use the USSD service to send the command directly without needing to open, maybe using the CmdLine?

    Thanks for the answears

    Re: Launch APP with command line

    Hi andrecavallari,
    Accoring to my experience, there doesnt exist any application by default in Nokia S60 3rd/5th edition phones which allow users to send USSD commands by just passing a USSD Command as argument . Therefore, i dont think that CmdLine alone helps that much in sending USSD commands. Moreover, u can always go for extending Flash Lite using Symbian C++ or create a console application in Symbian C++ which accepts a USSD command as argument and send it for processing. or use some easy alternative like one suggested in my previous post . Wish u luck ..

    Best Regards,
    SajiSoft
