    Permissions in s40 plataform

    Hi there.

I develope with j2me on plataform s40 (2330 devices), and i have a problem. The users can exclude the application from device. Its possible to prevent this action?

Its possible to set a master password on device to these actions (like exclude) and prevent this actions? Some like this: if user want to exclude the application, a password is request for this action.

    Regards.

The workaround will be to get the app burnt with firmware on the device and user will then be not allowed to remove it.
    Thanks,

There is no way you can do this in any supported fashion. If an app is included in the device firmware, then the device manufacturer creates such a firmware version. Nokia is not going to create custom firmware versions for individual application developers (at least not unless you also buy a tens or hundreds of thousands of devices from Nokia, and pay for such customization, too; i.e., what network operator/carriers do).
