    Question Getting Phonon to work

    Hey guys!

Its me again with my amateurish questions

This time, I need to play audio and video on my application, I noticed that Phonon reached quite a good maturity level on Qt 4.6.3 (thats the version I'm using although Qt Creator says Qt 4.7 on the about). So, I tried opening both the "capabilities" and "qmusicplayer" projects on Qt Creator, they compile just fine until linkage where both of them throws:

    c:/nokia/qtsdk/mingw/bin/../lib/gcc/mingw32/4.4.0/../../../../mingw32/bin/ld.exe: cannot find -lphonond

(if I compile using Release, it will just say the same "cannot find -lphonon" minus the d).

Any ideas? I did a clean installation of Qt, I've been using libraries and Qt Mobility libs without any issues, Phonon is the only thing (I think) is bringing me problems.

You cannot build phonon projects for the simulator. The project should compile fine if you build it for "symbian device" and not simulator
