How to Get the contact user interface using Qt

    Hi,

i want to get the default contact user-interface using the Qt mobility. is there any way?
or do i have to manually create my own widget, enumerate all the contact information and place them into that?

i.e if i click on send message, it asks for the recipient and for that default contact UI appears right. similar way i want in Qt...

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

I think You have to use contact manager to import all contact to your app and show it in a way you need. How to fetch the contact is shown in the link of the previous post.

Re: How to Get the contact user interface using Qt

    Hi Ravindra,

Providing API to allow developers to request that the default UI for a contact picker and contact editor are both things that have been discussed in-depth internally. The topic is more complex than it appears at first glance, and we haven't yet made a decision on how to expose this functionality (e.g., as a QContactAction, as separate API in QContactManager (perhaps static functions), or via the Qt Service Framework). See http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTMOBILITY-223 for some preliminary discussion about the topic - please feel free to add comments or suggestions in that task.

Currently, however, you must write your own UI elements, unless you are able to use native platform calls to show the native contacts list UI.

    Cheers,
    Chris.
