    compilation issue using QMediaPlayer

    Hi, I am trying to use QMediaPlayer as mentioned in "http://doc.qt.nokia.com/qtmobility-1.0-beta/player.html".
    Now, I am getting following error,

    No ruleto make target "remconinterfacebase.dso" needed by sampleproject.

    This is snippet from by ".pro" fille

    INCLUDEPATH += ../../src/multimedia ../../src/multimedia/audio C:/NokiaQtSDK/Symbian/SDK/epoc32/include

    CONFIG += mobility
    MOBILITY = multimedia

    symbian {
    TARGET.UID3 = 0xefa3e4b6
    TARGET.CAPABILITY = UserEnvironment WriteDeviceData ReadDeviceData NetworkServices SwEvent
    LIBS += -lcone -leikcore -lavkon -lremconinterfacebase -lremconcoreapi
    TARGET.EPOCSTACKSIZE = 0x14000
    TARGET.EPOCHEAPSIZE = 0x020000 0x800000
    }

    How, can i use obtain "remconinterfacebase.dso" library?? Is it third party library?
    Also, I am unable to find corresponding dll in my SDK.

    Any pointers please.

    You have not shown complete .pro file.

    Have you use this into your .pro file
    Code:
    QT += network xml

    Re: compilation issue using QMediaPlayer

    Here is the complete .pro file and I haven't used network and xml.

    TARGET = testKiddos
    TEMPLATE = app

    INCLUDEPATH += ../../src/multimedia ../../src/multimedia/audio C:/NokiaQtSDK/Symbian/SDK/epoc32/include

    SOURCES += main.cpp\
    testkiddos.cpp \
    media.cpp \
    mediakeysobserver.cpp

    HEADERS += testkiddos.h \
    media.h \

    Try after adding

    Code:

    QT += network
    As Qtmobility requires a network module also

    Re: compilation issue using QMediaPlayer

    I have tried

    QT += core gui network xml
    include(../demo.pro) // as it was present in sample

    But, still same error is showing.
    Also, as i am using "-lcone -leikcore -lavkon -lremconinterfacebase -lremconcoreapi" flag as LIBS.
    I wonder, i could locate corresponding .dso files for rest of the libraries, like for example eikcore(000a00000).dso and so on. But, these files are missing for "remcon*" file names.

    Re: compilation issue using QMediaPlayer

    I have noticed that "qmediaplayer.h" file is also not present in any of the include location. Pointing cursor to include line, show "No such file or directory" warning.
    But, my include path is same as mentioned in sample. ANy pointers??

    Try to install http://www.forum.nokia.com/info/sw.n...60_3rd_ed.html

    It is the Remote Control Extension.

    Re: compilation issue using QMediaPlayer

    did anyone get an answer to this. The application player is an example from the mobility sources. I find it hard to believe this wasn't compiled and tested before releasing it to the public.

    All the example are tested before releaseing to the public thats what I am thinking. May be the problem is there with the installation of the SDK is creating the problem.

    Re: compilation issue using QMediaPlayer

    Here is what discovered. The player example requires the mediakey objects which are not part of Noka Qt SDK. To use these services you must install the full Symbian SDK and download the appropriate mediakey APIs. The other problems with the mobility APIs appear to be a bug in the 1.0.0 release which is corrected in 1.0.1 release of the Nokia Qt SDK.

    S60_3rd_Ed_SDK_FP2_API_Plug-In_Pack_LLA_1_3.zip
    /RemoteControlExtensionAPI.zip
    is not remconinterfacebase.dso file
    Where I can find this file?

    Edit:
    I found in C:\S60\devices\S60_3rd_FP2_SDK_v1.1_2\epoc32\release\armv5\lib
    Problem solved.
