J2ME on SIP server for voip service

    Hi all

I'm developing a j2me MIDlet that'll enable the end-users to logon to my server and voice chat with each other?

    1. Is SIP the ideal protocol for this?
    2. How do I go about it?

    Thanx and Regards
    Lelo

You can use JSR 182 for this if your server is SIP compariable.
Else it can done using IMPS as well over Socket.
    Thanks,
    Ekta

    Thank You Ekta

    1. I used JSR 180 because I want to work establishing the sessions first before I proceed to payment transactions. Thank you for the insight though.
I keep getting an error in my coding, I'm using Netbeans and would like to forward you the screenshot..
    2. How do I utilise IMPS over Socket? I've started j2me programming.

    Thanx again E
