compiling by gcce on N97 SDK

    Hi,

i have large project with sucessfull gcce builds on S60 3rd SDK (MR). But on N97 SDK (both 0.5 & 1.0) i got very strange error:

    {standard input}: Assembler messages:
{standard input}:14673: Error: cannot represent THUMB_OFFSET relocation in this object file format

My primary machine is 64bit Windows 7, but the same situation on virtual (32bit Windows XP SP3)...

Please help, any suggestions are welcome...

PS: wincw (emulator) works well on both s603rd and N97... I also tried S60_5th_Edition_SDK_v1.0 but the same results :-(

    Hi,

can you paste the gcce build console output and also the .map files generated for your application.
It seems there is voilation of gcce building while creating the binary offsets.

Re: compiling by gcce on N97 SDK

    Hi Mateen,

    console output is:

    {standard input}: Assembler messages:
{standard input}:14673: Error: cannot represent THUMB_OFFSET relocation in this object file format

of cource many gcce warnings (my project is really big), but no other errors. I fixed problem by replacing toolchain be newer gcce version, no more asm errors...

I am going to my virtual and i try to produce .map file...

    Thanx a lot, for reply...

Re: compiling by gcce on N97 SDK

I am not able to find any .map or .sym files... there are just object files (.o) under epoc32/build and epoc32/release/gcce/urel...
