Why would you have a need to distributing them ?

Check nokia_corporation_end-user_software_agreement.txt (it is usually located in S60Doc\terms).
    3. LIMITATIONS ON END USER RIGHTS
You may not copy, distribute, or make derivative works of the Software except as follows:
    ...

    (c) You may not reverse engineer, reverse compile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code of the Software (except to the extent that this restriction is expressly prohibited by law) or create derivative works based on the Software.
I would say 'No' as the answer. However I would not necessarily care. For a Python course I created a ~40 MB, copy-installable version of the emulator, and I do not think that it was a crime.

    Re: Library redistribution legitimity

yucca, i have one little project i am working on and i need *.lib modules because downloading of sdk is too huge and all i need is *.lib files.
    Allso, elf2e32.exe
btw, lib files do not contain anything else than imports, so i could make one huge *.inc file, but it would be tiresome to make all imports...

But i will figure something :)

    thanx for your posts

it is easier to discuss than to read licence :)

Ask the folks at the Symbian Developer forum.

They might have a better solution for you if you want to stay 100% legal!
