    Question can I use a browser in my appliacation?

    Hi All,

    I want to use a mobile web browser in my application (I will add it to Canvas) . is this possible? Do you have an example?

    Thank you.

    For Example;
    MobileBrowser myBrowser = new MobileBrowser();
    myBrowser.Navigate("http://discussion.forum.nokia.com");
    myBrowser.AddToCanvas(g);
    ---------
    myBrowser.Back();
    myBrowser.Forward();

    There's no ready-made embeddable web browser class for JME. You'd need to write your own browser in Java, or launch the device's default browser using platformRequest()

    Hi,

    For using basic web browser functionality inside your midlet, you can use some third party GUI APIs, for example you may try –

    1. eSWT. You can see the browser example here
    http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...ser_in_Java_ME
    But eSWT is available only in s60 3rd edition FP1 and onwards devices.

    2. FIRE-J2ME. You may download the examples from here
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/fire-j2me/

    3. J2ME polish. www.j2mepolish.org

    Thanks,
    Somendra

    Note that cHTML is an HTML subset dialect used by NTT DoCoMo phones in Japan (and really nowhere else). It won't be useful for you to render regular HTML v3.2/v4/v5 content properly.

    If I'm not mistaken also LWUIT had incorporated some basic html-interpreter...

    no idea actually, it's an open source project afaik so you might give their code a look to see if they have some class responsible for the html parsing, otherwise you could ask in thei forum...
