    Is Camera API still available?

    Hi everyone,

I would like to make an app which let the users capture a photo and upload for public view, but as I search, camera is vanished from mobility 1.0.2, so can I use camera function in devices now?

    Thanks for advance.

if it is so, then you can try with native APi(Symbian) if its not a limitation of your project.

You can use the Qt Mobility 1.1 which contains the support for camera.

    Check this page.

Re: Is Camera API still available?

Sorry if I post a sarcastic response here, but I have been warning people about Mobility for ages. And if I ever get to do my bada port, I will intentionally block Mobility APIs from being used.

Mobility is an unreliable, unstable, unprofessionally managed, terrible, dangerous and harmful to business piece of code. In the last year, my blog readers sent me hundreds of email complaints....and dont even get me started on how many vbottles of wine I wasted speaking with a friend who didnt listen to my advice and then came to cry here frequently.

PLEASE just use a native implementation!

It is depend upon your target device,,,

Your target device of which version,

Application build only for target device not for complete S60. ( Like S60 5th, S60 3rd, Symbian ^3).

    Best regards,

    Hi Vladest,
I was just going after Mobility.

The rest of QT is mostly nice and reliable!
