Signing applications without owning any IMEI

How can i sign my apps using Nokia signing service or a service like Symbian Signed if i don't own a nokia smartphone, thus i don't own any IMEI's.
I develop my apps using the qt emulator and test them on RDA(remote device access service) phones, i suppose one cannot use the IMEI's on those RDA devices.
What can i do to get my apps signed and into the ovi store if i don't have the possibility to buy Symbian phones.

If you want to test your application you can use the IMEI of the RDA device you want to test it on and sign app with that IMEI. For submitting it to Ovi Store you don't have to worry about signing - Ovi store will do it for you.

I do need to provide IMEI numbers if using ovi free signing service though.

Yes you do, and as said you could try using the IMEIs of the RDA devices.

Knowing what exactly are those IMEIs used for would greatly increase the assumption if using RDA devices IMEIs would work.
Are they used in the same process as with self signed symbian apps for development purposes or other reasons?

those IMEIs are used for making the certificate for your testing. Thus you can only install the signed sis files into the devices which IMEIs you specified.

This is correct. Providing the IMEIs is not a requirement to getting your applications signed; however, without the IMEIs, we are unable to create the developer certificate installer and key pair for you.

The IMEIs and developer cert installer and key pairs are all meant for your testing purposes against the Symbian Test Criteria. If you have your own developer cert and key pair, you may use that to test your applications. Once you are done testing, please upload your application unsigned to the Ovi Publish tool and we will proceed with the signing process.

    Hi rayden,
sorry if I take this a bit offtopic, but not having a phone is a serious drag on productivity.

May I ask you why you cannot get a phone? If it has to do with export regulations, I have friends based in free states which do not give a f*** about these regulations and would be glad to help!
