    Post QDeclarativeView error: no such file or directory

    Hello!
    I am trying to do this example: http://gutenberg.troll.no/4.7-snapshot/qtbinding.html
    It has compiled without errors and works well for all simulators, but when I compile it for phone it shows me an errors:
    QDeclarativeView: no such file or directory.
    QDeclarativeContext: no such file or directory.

    main.cpp
    Code:

    #include <QApplication>
    #include <QDeclarativeView>
    #include <QDeclarativeContext>

    int main(int argc, char *argv[])
    {
         QApplication app(argc, argv);

         QDeclarativeView view;
         QDeclarativeContext *context = view.rootContext();
         context->setContextProperty("backgroundColor", QColor(Qt::yellow));

         view.setSource(QUrl::fromLocalFile("main.qml"));
         view.show();

         return app.exec();
    }
    main.qml
    Code:

    import QtQuick 1.0

    Rectangle {
         width: 300
         height: 300

         color: backgroundColor

         Text {
             anchors.centerIn: parent
             text: "Hello Yellow World!"
         }
    }

    My code is identical to tutorial, and I included "QT += declarative" to pro file. I am using QT 4.7.
    Whats the matter can be here? Thanks in advance!

    Something is wrong with configuration of Qt/SDK.

    Doublecheck that you REALLY are using Qt4.7. If under 'compile for phone' you mean Symbian, it might be that you are implicitly switching to Qt4.6 (as the Symbian SDK target, just like Symbian^3 devices, currently ships with Qt4.6 as default, and the class in question is only available in 4.7).

    Just a note: latest Nokia Qt SDK (1.0.2) does not ships with Qt for Symbian 4.7. It uses 4.6 instead. Take a look at this page:

    Re: QDeclarativeView error: no such file or directory

    Did anybody of you allready manage to install the Qt 4.7 for Symbian^3 - developer version on your symbian device and tried some of the new features of Qt 4.7?

    Re: QDeclarativeView error: no such file or directory

    I've found a possible bug in the QtDeclarative header file in Symbian
    it's placed in the

    c:\NokiaQtSDK\Symbian\SDK\include\QtDeclarative\

    It has no content defined, just the preprocessor flag
    Also quite a few header files are missing

    I could compile the QML example for Maemo, so I copied the all the header files to the Symbian SDK from this Maemo directory

    c:\NokiaQtSDK\Maemo\4.6.2\sysroots\fremantle-arm-sysroot-20.2010.36-2-slim\usr\include\QtDeclarative\

    Re: QDeclarativeView error: no such file or directory

    Hi,

    I have not found any issue with QDeclarativeView. This is running fine for me. you also take the latest qt4.7 binaries for symbian and do not forget to add QT += declarative in your.pro file.
    Use [URL="http://qt.nokia.com/products/qt-quick/"]Qt-Quick[/URL] to make your application UI more attractive.

    Re: QDeclarativeView error: no such file or directory

    Hi Kkrish

    The project which I was trying to compile was qtbubblelevel. Everything is defined well in the project. I used the Qt version 4.7.1 symbian opensource, and the Symbian SDK from the folder c:\NokiaQtSDK\Symbian\SDK\
    Maybe there's a problem with Qt when installing into the manually selected SDK directory (I had to select the Symbian SDK manually when installing, as it didin't recognize it). For sure there were headers missing. Libraries got installed properly.

    Re: QDeclarativeView error: no such file or directory

    I think the problem could originate from having different versions of Qt and Symbian SDK installed over time. I've uninstalled Qt and NokiaQtSdk and did a clean install with the version Qt SDK 1.1. Now all works well.
