0x8010002f error on selecting Card Manager

    Hi all!
I have an acr122u-sam card reader and an unlocked 6212 phone, and I would like to install a cap file on the secure element.
    I tried with:
    -jcManager
    -GPShell 1.4.2
    -Pseudo APDU Direct Transmit

the result is always the same: 0x8010002f error (SCARD_E_COMM_DATA_LOST).

    With pseudo apdu, I am able to perform authentication and read blocks, but when I send the command for selecting card manager (00 A4 04 00 08 A0 00 00 00 03 00 00 00) I have the error.

Maybe the reader could not be suitable for this operation?

I hope somebody can help me, I do not know what else to do.
    Thank's in advance,

    Roberto.

Re: 0x8010002f error on selecting Card Manager

Hello Roberto. I'm not able to give you a solution but maybe some traces...

There is an updated version of GPShell (1.4.4) at sourceforge.
It seems you are trying to authenticate before selecting the card manager AID. Did you tried with this order:

    mode_211
    enable_trace
    establish_context
    card_connect
    select -AID A000000003000000
    open_sc -security 3 -keyver 42 -mac_key 404142434445464748494A4B4C4D4E4F -enc_key 404142434445464748494A4B4C4D4E4F -kek_key 404142434445464748494A4B4C4D4E4F
    install -file <yourfile.cap>
    card_disconnect
    release_context

I have almost the same hw configuration as you have: ACR122U reader (touchatag) and a 6212 NFC.
Actually I have problems with the SELECT command, the response is always this: select_application() returns 0x80216A82 (6A82: The application to be selected could not be found.) whatever the AID specified was.

I think our problems are close related.
    Keep me informed plz.
    Alfonso

Re: 0x8010002f error on selecting Card Manager

    Hello Roberto,

I think we have the same problem cause' my reader is an ACR122U-SAM too.
As you could see in my previous post here http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...E-with-GPShell

It seems that the only workaround possible is to change the reader for another one without SAM. Actually I don't know exactly.
Have you tried to remove the SIM card from the SAM slot?

    Best regards,
    Alfonso

    Hi Alfonso,
I tried the command order you suggested, but the result is the same.
Regarding the SIM card, I don't know how to remove it, because the reader is sealed and I don't see any slot.

I agree with you, and I will buy an Omnikey reader as soon as possible, then I'll tell you how it works.

    Thank's for the help .
