POC PTT - Connected to server with Nokia POC client but no contacts visible?

    Hello all,

I have managed to connect to the Wippies POC server with the Nokia POC client, but there are no visible contacts or any method to create a new one.

Does anyone know how to create new PTT contacts on a Nokia 6630?

I have two identical Nokia 6630 phones. They have both been reset to factory defaults, flashed with the latest s60 v6.03.40 firmware and have the Nokia SIP and PTT applications installed.

I logged into my.wippies.com and added two additional services for PTT with different usernames. I've then followed the instructions on the Wippies wiki and both clients appear to have connected successfully (see connection settings below)

However when I select Options -> PTT contacts the Nokia client says "(no data)". There is no option to add a contact. If I use the phones main contacts section and create a new contact, there is no option to enter a PTT address or similar.

How do I add a contact so the two Nokia phones can see each other and communication via PTT?

    Thanks in advance,

    John

Re: POC PTT - Connected to server with Nokia POC client but no contacts visible?

Actually, this might be simpler than it seems.

It looks like all I need to do is add a PTT contact to my phones address book.

The problem is that when I try to follow the Nokia instructions and choose Contacts -> Edit -> Add Detail there is no "PTT Address" field.

If I use PC Suite to edit the contact, there is a "Push-to-talk" field available, but when I enter the contact address and save the contact to the phone this field is not visible on the phone.

How can I add a PTT contact to my phone?

Thanks in advance - this is driving me crazy!

    John
