    Angry Resize event not fired if I lock the orietation of application

    Hi,

    I am working of application which has two widget w1 and w2.

    What I need is when I orientate the device to Landscape then w2 should become active and if orientate to Portrait then widget 1.

    If I make use fo the following code:

    Code:
        // Symbian specific code
        #ifdef Q_OS_SYMBIAN
        CAknAppUi* appUi = dynamic_cast<CAknAppUi*> (CEikonEnv::Static()->AppUi());
        TRAPD(error,
        if (appUi) {
            // Lock application orientation into landscape
            appUi->SetOrientationL(CAknAppUi::EAppUiOrientationLandscape);
        }
        );
       #endif
    On application launch w1 is active in portrait, when i orientate to landscape I get the resize event, I call the above code and make w2 gets active. Now when I orientate application back to portrait, I do not get the resize event which blocks me on w2. I ends up with the Landscape mode only and thereafter no resize event is triggered to identify the change in orientation

    Any pointer or suggestion would be helpful.

    Regards,

    Well, you have to change the orientation back to Automatic. The code you're using applies to the entire application.

    I agree with your statement but when? I need to have the event notification to change back the orientation. BTW is there any way to lock the orientation of particular widget?

    Well, you could monitor for show and hide events on the individual widgets, I suppose.
