Signing and certificate j2me application for OVI store

I have a j2me application that i need to sign and attach a certificate. Most of the signing and certification procedures i have found use the keytool utility or Carbide.j but i think this is a different signing method than what i need to use. I have 3 files one .cer which is the certificate one .key which is a DSA private key and one .sis file. Has anyone encountered this type of signing and is there a utility i can use to perform the signing and certificate attachment ?

Re: Signing and certificate j2me application for OVI store

    Hello DanSiddiqui,

based on the definition by lorand.krucz, he is trying to sign a SIS file which is the installation file for Symbian C++ applications.

Are you trying to sign a Symbian C++ application? If yes, could you please visit the related sub-forum for Symbian C++ developers here:
Discussion > Development Platforms > Symbian C++ > Symbian Signed Support, Application Packaging and Distribution and Security

In case the issue is about signing Java ME applications, could you please provide more specific details on the issue.

    Regards,
    r2j7

Re: Signing and certificate j2me application for OVI store

    Hi,
What IDE do you use? Maybe I can help you. The second link r2j7 gave might help you, see "Getting the certificate" for creating the .ks file. I guess you need only the .cer file in your cases.
    Greetings,
