Communicating with mobile by AT Commands

    Hello,
I am working on an application in which i have to receive the SMS directly in the software. I am using AT Commands for it. And successfully created design for sending SMS. But unfortunately it is not working of receiving SMS. I am following the document whose link is given below.
and also http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.php/AT_Commands But none of them solved the problem
Also want to add here that i am using Nokia C1-0.
    Thanks

Re: Communicating with mobile by AT Commands

Most probably, the phone doesn't support the AT-command(s) for receiving SMS.

Only workaround: Try the Nokia PC Suite API v3.2, instead of AT-commands.

As the C1 is a Series 40 based phone, you can write also a Java MIDlet that runs on the phone to receive SMS, but the MIDLet can *ONLY* receive SMS sent to a specific port number that the MIDlet is waiting messages for. I.e., a MIDlet cannot capture messages sent to the "regular" Inbox (port 0). If you switch to an S60/Symbian based phone, you can write a Symbian C++ app that has full access to all messages, and can also communicate with your PC app.

Try the PC Suite APIs and the related examples: https://www.forum.nokia.com/info/sw....I_3.2.zip.html

Re: Communicating with mobile by AT Commands

I haven't looked into the PC Suite API in several years. The PC Suite API used to be available in two separate versions. One with limited APIs and functionality, and another version with "all" PC Suite functionality. Maybe the one that's available now, is just the limited version... Anyway, check the "Content Access" APIs in the PC Suite API documentation to see if it allows accessing SMS messages and how to send and receive them.
