Accelerometer Sensor and Compass access from java MIDlet

    Hi everyone,

I have a Nokia 2710 Navigation edition phone, according its specification ( the specification ) there are Accelerometer Sensor and Compass (Magnetometer Sensor).

Is there any chance to get an access to this resources from Java MIDlet?

    Thanks in advice.

Re: Accelerometer Sensor and Compass access from java MIDlet

    according to http://library.forum.nokia.com/index...74CBFF1E0.html ,
The Mobile Sensor API is supported in devices based on the Symbian platform that include Java Runtime 1.4 or newer. The API can also be integrated into Nokia N85 and Nokia 5800 XpressMusic devices by installing Sensor API support packages as a SIS file from Forum Nokia.
so i would say no, since your device is S40.
look for the javax.microedition.sensor package in your sdk.
