    Sending DTMF tones during voice call

    Hi,

    I am programming in J2ME using Eclipse for the Nokia S60 SDK. I have the following problem:

    After the call starts, I want the application to be able to send DTMF tones to a server, that is, during the time that the call is connected and similar to key presses. Currently I do this using the following lines of code:

    Code:
    try {
        platformRequest("tel:" + DTMFCode);
    } catch { ConnectionNotFoundException e) {
        e.printStackTrace();
    }
    DTMFCode is of String type.

    On running the application in the emulator, I get the following error:
    Internet: Invalid Phone Number (-26180)

    I have looked over the internet for a solution and have not found one. Any help on this is most welcome.

    Thanks,
    Sriram.

    Re: Sending DTMF tones during voice call

    Hi Kumar,

    Here is a blackberry equivalent for which I am writing J2ME code.
    Code:
     PhoneArguments phoneArgs = new PhoneArguments(PhoneArguments.ARG_CALL, num);
    Invoke.invokeApplication(Invoke.APP_TYPE_PHONE, phoneArgs);
    PhoneCall call = Phone.getActiveCall();
    call.sendDTMFTones(tones)
    A J2ME equivalent of this for my target platform would be great!

    Regards,
    Sriram
