I donot think it can done (with current VPK implementation). For work around you can only put the hint in QLineEdit only.

Then it is very bad, because i want automatically redirect user from one QLineEdit input form to next QLineEdit inputForm, but the problem will be, that user cannot understand which value must input. I tried
    put the hint in QLineEdit
, but that hint is not shown anywhere - i tried nokia 5230 and qt4.6.2

for me that is a very bad user interface design, have you seen any application doing the same. anyway that is only my view

is that mean when VPK is not open also you can't see the Hint Text?

    yes

why it is so important to me - i want that user feels in my application like in some nokia application... and in every nokia textbox edit form is shown hint, what field text/value is required. so if user is not sure, he can always see whats requried.

    Hi,

I believe FEP captions are what you're after.

Yes, its exactly what i want. Is it possible to create that with Qt? Or i have to use CEikedWin class (i don't know how to do that, because i started to develop with Qt only and i'm not familiar to symbian c++ code). Maybe someone can shortly tell how to get this "Caption" to QLineEdit?
