    Developing SMS application

    Hi Expert:

I am developing a SMS application for searching books in library. I have installed Nokia PC Connectivity 2.1 SDK and gone thru SMS Library coding samples in VB. From a mobile i have to send a SMS to a fixed mobile connected to the PC through Infrared. My application should read the SMS and process the database and it should return the result to the end user mobile as SMS. Is this possible with SMS library dll in Nokia PC Connectivity 2.1 SDK. Can any one give sample code for this. Is this practically possible?.

    Regards,

    Hi,

Yes it is possible to write such application.
Just make sure that the phone model You are using is supported by the SDK or not.
Then take a look at the SMS Edit example to see how to handle message sending and receiving with the SDK.
    Hopefully it helps.

    Best regards,

    Barna

    SMS Edit example

    Hi,

I downloaded the Borland_v1_1_S60_Nokia_Edition.zip free package. I cannot find the SMS Edit example.

Is it possible to download an SMS sending/recieving example ?

    Best regards,
