    mbm file is empty

    Hi!

    Every time when I execute the project, it always stops at the line:

    User::LeaveIfError(bitmap->Load(mbmFileName, EMbmAmy_icon0203001));

    I think the problem is from mbm file which is empty, but I don't know why it's empty and how to correct it.

    In addition to this, I create a new My_Icon.mk file to make mbg and mbm files

    What's the reason that mbm file is empty?

    First make svg image if possible of (0203001.bmp and then put it .Try this out in the .mvk

    RESOURCE : $(ICONTARGETFILENAME)

    $(ICONTARGETFILENAME) : $(ICONDIR)\qgn_menu_test.svg \
    $(ICONDIR)\0203001.svg

    mifconv $(ICONTARGETFILENAME) \
    /H$(HEADERFILENAME) \
    /c32,8 $(ICONDIR)\qgn_menu_test.svg \
    $(ICONDIR)\0203001.svg

    See if it is making any difference.

    I have tried, but it makes no difference. And I can't see the mbm file in the folder of \epoc32\release\winscw\udeb\z\resource\apps while mif is created.

    Do one thing. You have the bmp image . So in the mmp file create a new mbm file just for test see if its happening

    START BITMAP anyname.mbm
    HEADER
    TARGETPATH \resource\apps
    SOURCEPATH ..\gfx
    SOURCE c24 0203001.bmp
    END


    After writinf it first remove the application mbm file from the concerned directory, Right click on the project and select the Index andn rebuild it. And then build the project and see that this mbm file is craeted or not

    Is it possible that bmp file is the reason? I just copy a bmp file from an example randomly, and mbm is created with 45.5kb, second time is 74.8kb. But the command "bitmap->load " still can't be executed.

    My original bmp is 317*242, and 12.2kb size. When I use bmconv, it said it's bad file. Is it too small? What's mean for c24 or c16?

    Sigh....I realy don't understandy why it can't load a bitmap. I follow every step from example or internet, it should be OK. I'm so disappointed with myself, so simple problem can't be solved...

    It may happen. Make sure that it is really a bmp file.
    What's mean for c24 or c16?
    c=color, the number is the bit depth (c24: 24-bit "true color", c16: 16-bit "hi-color"). They are the target bit-depth, what you want to get on the device when loading the bitmap.
