    S60 3rd edition confusion

Is S60 3rd edition feature pack 1 SDK compatible with any S60 3rd edition phones? or should I need to download an S60 3rd edition feature pack 2 FOR an S60 3rd e, feature pack 2 phone? I'm not sure of it because I'm developing an app for feature pack 1 but my phone lost.

what do you mean by backward compatible? do you mean that my developed s60 3rd edition FP1 mobile app would run on an FP2? by the way, thanks for the reply..

Choose the SDK for the oldest platform you want to support. Yes, you can develop using the FP1 SDK, and run on FP2 devices.

However, you will need to test on the specific target devices. If your application works using the SDK's emulator, there is never any guarantee it will work on the real device. You can use remote device access services to help you with testing on real devices.
