    Qt Creator project folders

When I create a new project, the Qt Creator shows the solution folder with the project file below that and possibly main.cpp in a sources folder:

    Code:
    myproject
    ---- myproject.pro
    ---- \sources
    -------- main.cpp
If I add a new header file, a new project folder is created (headers) and the file is reflected there. I get the following:

    Code:
    myproject
    ---- myproject.pro
    ---- \headers
    -------- file.h
    ---- \sources
    -------- main.cpp
The problem I am having is importing existing files into my project. If the header file I add already exists in a subdirectory of my project named headers, I get the following:

    Code:
    myproject
    ---- myproject.pro
    ---- \headers
    -------- \headers
    ------------ file.h
    ---- \sources
    -------- main.cpp
It creates a project folder reflecting my directory structure (headers), but it puts that within a default headers project folder. Is there a way go prevent this?

There is a small cone type icon, after Projects header. Click and select Simplify tree. It will show all your files at once

Thank you. I will look for that. I assume that showing all my files at once will include folders for subdirectories on the file system.

No it doesnot include file system folders. It shows all files alphabetically.

You can click Projects header and select "File system" to view actual folders. But it is a list view not tree view.
