    Thumbs up How to change that mobile default English commands to Tamil Language commands.

    I am using Java ME and LWUIT 1.3 for my Application.

    My Application can Run in two Languages like Tamil and English.

    Actually Default commands are produced by mobile default language(Like Menu, Select).

    In English Application it is no problem in commands, because Default language of mobile is English.

    But In my Tamil Application that default commands are not displayed in properly. It converts the English command to Tamil directly. So it displays meaningless word.

    My question is, How to change that mobile default English commands to Tamil Language commands.Actually i used "Bamini Tamil Font" for Tamil Application.

    i think there is something in the lwuit ressource file in which you have your theme and fonts. the localisation tab should be where the commands are translated.

    I have added the localization in resources file as you said above. Now the particular word is displayed in a local language.but it is not added in Default command(Menu)...My coding is below...This coding displays local language in Label...but i want this in Default Command Button(Menu)...

    Hashtable tam1 = tresources.getL10N("tam1", "ta");//.getL10N(tam1,tn);
    Object locText = tam1.get("menu");
    locLabel = new Label(locText.toString());
    home.addComponent(locLabel);

    May be you are adding only the one command and not the multiple.
    Thanks with Regards,

    from lwuit sources (https://lwuit.dev.java.net/source/br...15&view=markup )
    the Select command is created this way :
    return new Command(UIManager.getInstance().localize("select", "Select"));
    (select is the key, "Select the default value)
    the same way, cancel
    UIManager.getInstance().localize("cancel", "Cancel")
    and menu
    UIManager.getInstance().localize("menu", "Menu")
    which means that you simply need to insert these values in Tamil and have the phone locale set to Tamil

    Thank you njzk2... I have cleared this issue...simply i added following two lines after getting resources....

    Hashtable tam1 = tresources.getL10N("tam1", "ta");
    UIManager.getInstance().setResourceBundle(tam1);

    Thank you for your Reply......

    Also Thank you Raj sir.......
