    About Bluecove

"Bluecove and several such softwares is a jsr 82 j2se implementation that currently interfaces with the Mac OS X, BlueZ Linux, WIDCOMM, BlueSoleil and Microsoft Bluetooth stack found in Windows XP SP2 and newer".

But i am not sure whether it is a must to install? Doesnt S60 5th edition sdk supports jsr-82 j2se implemention?

I just want to know the differences among them- ( Bluecove, Avetana, Roccoco, etc) and S60 sdk.

So can anyone please give me a clear picture about when to use Bluecove?

    Thanks in advance!

    Re: About Bluecove

BlueCove has its own support channels and you should use them.

The emulator offers JSR-82, however, emulated. You do not talk to real devices. Those other libraries can talk to real devices. If you do not need a Java 2 Micro Edition emulator, but you need Bluetooth access from Java 2 Standard Edition. Yes, there is a trick to enable the S60 SDKs to talk to real devices.
