    Preventing screensaver in application

    I'm creating a stopwatch-like application where it is quite important that the running clock is always visible, unfortunately the Symbian screensaver, or autolock/whatever, prevents the users from seeing the clock when the device has been inactive (when the screen is not touched).

    I'm looking for a way to prevent the screensaver (only when the clock is active). I have no experience in Qt whatsoever (only QML and J2ME), so QML is preffered. I have found a way to do it in Qt, but as stated before I have no clue how to intergrate that in my Qt Quick application.

    Thanks in advance!

    Re: Preventing screensaver in application

    you can call a Qt function from your QML application.
    the Q_INVOKABLE keyword indicates that there is a binding for calling this function from QML so echo can be called, public slots are available too.

    view.rootContext()->setContextProperty("StringHelper", &stringHelper);
    this maps a StringHelper object in your QML so you can access it by simply naming it.

    what is your method in Qt for preventing the screen saver, btw?
