Can you please link or the free book that I should learn.
I can use net only for today so I have to search and download all the resourses I need.

    Re: location api

The location API (JSR-179) will give you location coordinates, but not maps: http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...ation_Articles

For maps, you need to get the maps from somewhere. Nokia's maps (those used by Nokia Maps/Ovi Maps applications) are not available for Java apps, but you might look into Google Maps APIs: http://code.google.com/intl/en/more/

There are also open source maps projects like: http://openmaps.eu/

If you wish to get to the same map data that Nokia is using, see Nokia's subsidiary NAVTEQ: http://www.nn4d.com/site/global/home/p_home.jsp (Those maps are not free, though.) Besides NAVTEQ, another big map data supplier is TeleAtlas (a subsidiary of TomTom).

    Re: location api

Can u please expalin how can I download just the part of the map i want to use?
For example, can i download only the seoul city of the Korea?
How can I link that image map with the location api?
Please point out me the link if there is any tutourial that explain about that?
What i found is just tutorials that explain the location api containing landmark and landmarkstore.
I don't know how to show them on the map.
As a first step, to be simple, I willuse the preinstalled map, I mean I will use the map that is preinstalled in the phone. It is possible?
