    Set full screen size to CAknMessageQueryDialog

    Hello,

    Is it possible to make the dialog , which is represented by CAknMessageQueryDialog, to appear full screen . I tried to fetch the screen width and height , and tried to do SetSize on the dialog:-

    TSize aSize;
    TInt WidthOfScreen = CEikonEnv::Static()->EikAppUi()->ApplicationRect().Width();
    TInt heightOfScreen = CEikonEnv::Static()->EikAppUi()->ApplicationRect().Height();
    aSize.SetSize(WidthOfScreen ,heightOfScreen );

    dlg->SetSize(screen_size);

    I get Width and height values 360 and 640 respectively.

    but the dialog still doesnt appear full screen.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks a lot in advance

    What happens exactly? Can it happen that your dialog does not start in the top-left corner? In this case SetPosition, SetRect, SetExtent are methods you could try. By the way, there is also a SetExtentToWholeScreen.

    I tried SetExtentToWholeScreen ,SetRect(0,0,width , height) and setExtent. The dialog always appears at the bottom half of the screen.

    Not sure whats the probelm.

    Hi,

    You may have to create a CAknMessageQueryDialog-derived class and then override the SetSizeAndPosition() to set the dialog full screen, hmmm, the S60 UI components are really hard to play with, right?

    also you could try overwriting the pre/postlayout init functions, those used to work nicely with 1st edition (i.e. the last time I tried such a thing).
