    Series 60 Clipboard in MIDlet

In a small test-MIDlet, which uses a 16-character-TextBox, I can use the clipboard function of the phone (by pressing the ABC/pencil-key). In another MIDlet, with a 1024-character-TextBox, it doesn't work. Only Paste appears (not Copy) but nothing gets pasted.

Why is that? How can I get the clipboard to work in larger TextBoxes?

(Five years later...) with a Nokia E90, from a 250 character J2ME text box using the qwerty keyboard I can highlight text (Ctrl+A) and copy (Ctrl+C) and paste into another E90 application - such as a new message.

From the E90 cover keypad, press and hold # key, scroll over the desired text within the textbox then press left soft key to copy. You can then switch to another application such as new message and use editing options to paste the text.
