    Writing to file problem

    I'm sending following 256 byte stream:

    Byte_Array > Serial_Connection > Bluetooth > RFcom_serial > sock.recv(256) > _readStr

    sock.recv: returns a string, which it's length is also 256 byte.

    I'm writing this string to a file
    file.write(_readStr), the weird thing is, file length is 257 byte. its like this

    The problem is in line 1

    When writing to a file, it seems Tab character - 09, is causing a Carriage Return character - 13 or Line Feed - 10 is causing a Carriage Return before itself.
    am I missing something here?

    after a lot of looking on net, it seems that python for S60 uses the definition of file opening as defined in Windows base platform rather unix base, which when a file is opened in normal writing mode, when writing LF, it automatically generates CR, in order to fix it, it should be open in write binary mode.
    I couldn't find this in pys60 documentation, but it was clearly mentioned on Python standard documentation.
    Also I cant find the solve button on this forum!
