    EPOC Emulator does not start propperly

    Hi,

    I've just installed the nS60_sdk_v1_0.zip and want to run one of the examples.
    But now I have the problem, that the EPOC emulator does not start up completely. I only see a window with a white backround, but nothing else.
    I'm running the SDK on Win2000. Could this cause the problem?
    Do I ave to doe some setup?

    Thanks, Thorsten

    I just found, that the environment variable EPOCROOT was set to \Symbian\6.1\Smartphone\.

    I changed it to \Symbian\6.1\Series60\ but it is does not help...

    If you have installed your SDK correctly, there should be no problems in using the emulator in Windows 2000. Which compiler are you using?

    I'm using VC++ 6.0.

    I have deinstalled the SDK and installed it again. No change.
    So with the new installation I didn't compile any example.
    I just tried to start the EPOC32, but it only comes up with an white window.

    You should also check your system path. They are automatically set in the installation, like the epocroot is. If epocroot was wrong, so may the paths be.

    Do you have any other SDKs on your computer? They could also interfere.
