    Podcatcher Source Code

    Hi,
I have seen the Podcatcher App. And when I search in the Forum I got this link https://projects.forum.nokia.com/pod...ser?order=name. Is this the complete source code, can I copy the source code and get the same app running in my emulator. Actually if I use this link I need to copy all the files individually and it will take long time. so if anyone has done any research on this please share with me. Is there any other place where I can download the complete source code in a zip file like that.

That "hg clone http://anonymous@projects.forum.nokia.com/hg/podcatcher" (what "Copy to clipboard" puts into your clipboard) would be the command line for getting the sources. FN Projects uses Mercurial (http://mercurial.selenic.com) source control system.

    Re: Podcatcher Source Code

I do not know what "quick start" does. But after you have hg.exe, the command line
    hg clone http://anonymous@projects.forum.nokia.com/hg/podcatcher
will simply get the source code tree into the location where you execute the command. You can also use graphical clients, like TortoiseHg or the others (some of them are listed here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercurial#Related_software)

    Re: Podcatcher Source Code

I am not much of a user, so I do not know these applications. Based on the description, it is probably a toolbar: http://library.forum.nokia.com/index...9C8F123C5.html (you will probably have to open the link twice to see the actual page).

    Hey wizard,
I got the Padcatcher example in S^3 Source Code. src_oss_app\sf\app, but its not running? Getting error message BLD.INF FATAL ERROR: Extension: S60/MIFCONV - cannot open META file, even I tried to run the phonebookui from src_oss_app\sf\app\contacts, its also not running.

    1. podcast.mbg: No such file or directory Podcast.rss /podcatcher/application/data
    2. mpxcollectionhelper.h: No such file or directory ShowEngine.h
    3. mpxcollectionhelperobserver.h: No such file or directory ShowEngine.h
    4. ISO C++ forbids declaration of `MMPXCollectionHelper' with no type ShowEngine.h
    5. expected `;' before '*' token ShowEngine.h /podcatcher/engine/inc

    Re: Podcatcher Source Code

.mbg-s are the include files for .mbm/.mif-s. Something is probably still wrong with building of the icons.
The other files are present in the source. Generally it is a good idea to have a directory listing of the entire Symbian^3 source, it helps a lot in locating (header) files of various system components.

If you are referring to the Symbian^3 code base this issue was fixed and a patch was released. Make sure you have the icons.mk file and verify in the bld.inf file that the icons.mk file is called first.
