    Re: File I/O fault

    Check the full build log from console and see what is going wrong. Paste your build log here.

    Moving this thread to proper place.

    Is it opening in emulator? If yes, then try to use ErrRd.sis on device and figure out the error/ panic when you try to open the application.

    Re: [moved] File I/O fault

    The answer is already there in the error:

    Error : Cannot find file : C:\S60\devices\S60_3rd_FP2_SDK_v1.1\Epoc32\release\GCCE\UREL\Project.exe

    Check if the Project.exe is present at the specified location if yes then you need to change the path as below in the pkg file, instead of above one:

    "$(EPOCROOT)Epoc32\release\$(PLATFORM)\$(TARGET)\Project.exe

    EDIT: didn't see #3 , but suggestion above should have worked for what mentioned in #1.

    For the current issue you can try with this:

    You can use the following link to download ErrRd.sis file. Install this file in your device and it can help you in figuring out the error.

    http://symbianresources.com/cgi-bin/schlabo/dl.pl?ErrRd

    There can be lots of possibilities of not opening the application.
    1) Memory Issue
    2) .mif etc. is missing

    According to the documentaion, System error -1 is "KErrNotFound -1 Unable to find the specified object"

    So, you need to check your .pkg file contents whether they are all copied to phone or not.

    EDIT: Post # 2 of http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...-1)#post604713 is also helpful.

    Re: [moved] File I/O fault

    Are there some kind of images you are using in the application & it might be the case that the images are not present at the specified path , for e.g.

    We do not know anything about your application. Does it use external files (images, sounds, etc)? Are they installed? What is in your .pkg file?

    Re: [moved] File I/O fault

    My .pkg File is:

    ; CCardDialer.pkg
    ; This is an auto-generated PKG file by Carbide.
    ; This file uses variables specific to Carbide builds that will not work
    ; on command-line builds. If you want to use this generated PKG file from the
    ; command-line tools you will need to modify the variables with the appropriate
    ; values: $(EPOCROOT), $(PLATFORM), $(TARGET)
    ; Also, the resource file entries should be changed to match the language
    ; used in the build. For example, if building for LANGUAGE_01, change the file
    ; extensions .rsc to .r01.
    ;
    ;Language - standard language definitions
    &EN

    ; standard SIS file header
    #{"CCardDialer"},(0xE126F8EB),1,0,0

    ;Localised Vendor name
    %{"Vendor-EN"}

    ;Unique Vendor name
    :"Vendor"

    ;Supports Series 60 v 3.0
    [0x101F7961], 0, 0, 0, {"Series60ProductID"}

    ;Files to install
    ;You should change the source paths to match that of your environment
    ;<source> <destination>
    "$(EPOCROOT)Epoc32\release\$(PLATFORM)\$(TARGET)\CCardDialer.exe" -"!:\sys\bin\CCardDialer.exe"
    "$(EPOCROOT)Epoc32\data\z\resource\apps\CCardDialer.r01" -"!:\resource\apps\CCardDialer.r01"
    "$(EPOCROOT)Epoc32\data\z\private\10003a3f\apps\CCardDialer_reg.r01" -"!:\private\10003a3f\import\apps\CCardDialer_reg.r01"
    "$(EPOCROOT)epoc32\data\z\resource\apps\CCardDialer_aif.mif" -"!:\resource\apps\CCardDialer_aif.mif"
    "$(EPOCROOT)epoc32\data\z\resource\apps\CCardDialer.mbm" -"!:\resource\apps\CCardDialer.mbm"
    ; Add any installation notes if applicable
    ;"CCardDialer.txt" -"!:\private\0xE126F8EB\CCardDialer.txt"

    Now i think some better idea is revealed .....................so plz sujjest something
