    restarting a j2me app

    Hi,
    My application connects via httpconnection to a php page that queries a database and feeds the info to the app for output.
    All is well except I do not want to exit the application.
    How can I restart the process/application after the output.
    Soft keys seem not to be responding.
    Only power button (red hang call button) responds allowing you to exit the application.
    Thank you in advance.

    Welcome to Forum Nokia!

    You don't need to restart your app... using an HttpConnection is not fatal, so long as you get it right.

    This post contains a sample HTTP application. Take a look, see how it works, see if that helps you.

    Graham.

    Hi, thanks Graham. The HTTPConnection is ok but I would like to continue using the application even after getting the output.

    <from the example you gave me>
    }
    setStatus("Complete.");
    } catch (Exception e) {
    setStatus("Error: " + e);
    } finally {
    frm.addCommand(cmdEXIT);
    }
    }
    }

    I do not want to exit the form but preferably to go back to home-screen.
    The soft keys are not responding after the reading from the web page.

    Repeat the same logic you have used to make the first request and don't give the exit option to the user, rather give the back command, or even the reconnect command with some other different URL you wanna connect to.
    Thanks with Regards,
