    size limit to write a file on SD CARD

    Hi to everybody,

    I can save file on SD CARD Symbian device S60 3rd edition FP1, Symbian OS v9.2.

    The problem is that my QStringList size is more than 50 elements, but i can write only 50 elements in the file.

    Could be a limit of Symbian OS v9.2 or what?

    Thanks for the help.

    Re: size limit to write a file on SD CARD

    Whatever the file size limitation is on an SD card, it is governed by the file system that the card is formatted in (e.g., FAT16, FAT32, NTFS, whatever).

    In your case (based on your description), I suspect that the problem is neither on the SD card, its filesystem, or the Symbian OS, but your own code. There is a remote chance that a Qt bug is involved, too, but...

    Re: size limit to write a file on SD CARD

    In my code the point in which i have problem is the follow:

    Code:
    QStringList* samplesList = dataModel->getSamplesList();
    qDebug() << "samples list size" << samplesList->size();
    QStringList::const_iterator constIterator;
    for(constIterator = samplesList->constBegin(); constIterator != samplesList->constEnd();
                          ++constIterator)
          qDebug() << *constIterator;
    Why the for cycle blocks to 50th elements if the sample list size is major?

    Thanks!

    Re: size limit to write a file on SD CARD

    Hi to everybody,

    I found because my cycle breaks at element 50.

    The problem is that because the application runs on symbian device just to print element on console with qDebug() there is a data transfer ... Clearly my GDB debugger has problem in this, so instead of to print the elements in sampleList to be sure that all elements are present I had a different idea:
    i've iterated on sampleList and (without qDebug() call) I saved the elements on a file on a SD CARD so I can seen on file,manually, that all the elements in the sampleList are present

    Bye
