    problem with basic framework run to phone.

    Hi everyone, I know this is a newbie question. I'm trying to run sample codes Basic framework for creating interface by Marcelo to my X6. What I did is create the window.py and application.py. In the application packager I selected the application.py as my main script. But as I installed it to the phone I got an error.."window.py" can not be found..can anyone tell me how to resolve it.

    thanks in advance,

    Use sys.path.append(FOLDER) in the beginning of your script, where FOLDER is the path where window.py exists.

    Hi Croozeus, I appreciate your time...please guide me still have some problem maybe I dont really understand what going on between the 2 files...as I understand
    There are two files one file as the main (application.py) and the other is the sub file (window.py).
    In my Pc the two files are in one folder called 'MyDemo. I launch the applcation packager and I select application.py as my startup/main script..doesthis mean that the packager knows what other file is required? My guess is no.
    I also tried to add on top the main script
    import sys
    sys.path.append('MyDemo')
    from window import Application
    from appuifw import Listbox, note

    but I'm still getting error..no module name window... appreciate anyone can resolve this.

    thanks,

    You need to pass the path where window.py exists. For example,
    Code:
    sys.path.append('C:\\Data\\Python')

    Finally got it! Thanks... So when i made application.py to sis it needs to include the window.py and tell the default path location on the phone..can I automate window.py copied to the phone location?
    And if I have a folder that consist images needed for my application and I want to create a sis how do this folder (images) copied to my phone, can it be done automatically when creating the package or I have to do it manually?

    thanks in advance,

    You have to use the extrasdir parameter while creating your SIS file. Look up for extrasdir in the additional options in PyS60 application packager.
