    Question Trying to use HWRMLight. what does this error mean?

    was trying to put some code bits from http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...ing_CHWRMLight in a qt project.

    on compiling:
    PHP Code:
    :-1errorNo rule to make target `\qt_sdk\Symbian\SDKs\Symbian1Qt473\epoc32\release\armv5\LIB\HWRMLightClient.dso', needed by `\qt_sdk\Symbian\SDKs\Symbian1Qt473\epoc32\release\gcce\udeb\abc.exe'.  Stop.
    how do i fix it?

    in that sample, it stated :
    The following libraries are required:

    LIBRARY HWRMLightClient.lib
    LIBRARY avkon.lib //CAknListQueryDialog CAknNumberQueryDialog
    where do i put these? im using qt creator, so the mnp file cant be modified manually right?

    you have to those files from S60 SDK then you have to add your pro file

    Code:
    Symbian {
    LIBS += -lHWRMLightClient -lavkon
    }

    did you copied the HWRMLightClient.* to Symbian\SDKs\Symbian1Qt473\epoc32\release\armv5\LIB\ from S60 SDK ?

    gettin this error now, during debugging:

    Code:
    Could not load shared library symbols for 16 libraries, e.g. Z:\sys\bin\HWRMLightClient.dll.
    Use the "info sharedlibrary" command to see the complete listing.

    you linking library has more entry points then on device ... which sdk you have used to copy those .libs and on which device you are installing .

    i copied the following files from S60_5th_Edition_SDK_v1.0 ( the s60 5th sdk package with which nokia provides carbide c++) from C:\Nokia\devices\S60_5th_Edition_SDK_v1.0\epoc32\release\armv5\lib

    hwrmlightclient.dso
    hwrmlightclient.lib
    hwrmlightclient{000a0000}.dso
    hwrmlightclient{000a0000}.lib

    im testing on my 5230

    Re: Trying to use HWRMLight. what does this error mean?

    There's no such thing as "carbide c++". There is an IDE called Carbide.c++ (and another one called Carbide.ui it that helps) but it is not part of the S60 5th Edition SDK, which it it does deploy anything like that, then it probably deploys Symbian C++, the programming language with tools, emulator and APIs.

    All that aside, are you saying that you are seeing this error after successfully building your application? Most interesting ... Can you please send me your SIS file for inspection @ <username>@ovi.com? Please also include the firmware version of your device.
