Interaction bw QTGUI and QT Console exe's

    Hi,

One of the use cases is that i need to launch( done with a QProcess) & Kill (done with the RProcess Force Kill) the QT console app from the GUI app

However the Kill part looks kinda ugly, is there any proper way to do it. IPC, Signal-Slot or any other mechanism.

Any pointers/examples would be of great help !!

    Thnx

You are right one should not abruptly close an application. You can probably make use of IPC.

The QtDBus examples here sound interesting.

I need it to run on S^3 devices, not sure if it is supported there. Any ideas ??

Yep Right... No support for QtDBus in S60.

I just needed to relay signals between two processes ( kill, poke etc).

So used QSystemSemaphore's acquire/release to get this done. Thnks anyway (Y)
