    Doesn't work getURL() command on direct server access with touch screen devise.

    Now we are developing the Flash contents(Flash lite).
    It is disable to go to the web site by the touch URL link using getURL() command in a swf file downloaded from the server,
    only when on Nokia touch screen devise(we test on X6).

    This problem is below in my understanding.
    - Not go to web sites of the URL link using getURL() as direct access to swf file on the server.
    - But it is able to go to web sites when I start the swf file from "Gallary"
    - Also Keyboard devise of Nokia is able to work in this situation.

    In such the situation, do we need special developments or codings for using getURL() to go to the URL link?

    Please let us know.

    Thank you.

    Code:
    import flash.external.*;
         var url = "http://forum.nokia.com";
         ExternalInterface.call("widget.openURL", url);

    Thank you for your reply.
    However, our developing environment is in Flash Lite AS1.0.
    Your recommended command is able to use in AS2.0.

    If you know the command which is available in AS1.0, Please let me know.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hi Akinori.Mitsuoka,
    You are targeting touch screen phones.So,its good to use AS2. However, Flash Lite 3 has a security feature due to which you have to publish your content under "Access Network Only" settings to access network. I am sure you are following it. Moreover, what Risalmin suggested can be accessed using AS1 like this :
    Code:
    getURL("javascript:widget.openURL('http://www.example.com') ;");

    Thank you for your reply, Mr. sajisoft.

    I tried your advise.
    But It doesn't work at Nokia X6.

    Nokia X6 uses Flash Lite3.0. So, you told me that Flash Lite 3.0 doesn' t allow to access network and open browser?
    Can we use AS1.0 at Nokia X6 as same as other devises such as AS1.0 available ?

    Thank you for your help.

    I think u misunderstand my point . I said that you can access Network if u publish your swf file with "Access Network Only" in Flash Lite 3.

    ActionScript is not going to make any difference as the security sandbox and core implementation is written in Flash Lite 3 Player on our Symbian Phone.
    One of my advise for your scenario is that if it doesnt work even after setting publish setting to "Access Network Only" then create your flash content and embed it into a Widget and then you can distribute your content via OVI Store or your personal site .
