    bldmake returned with exit value = 1

    Hi

    My problem is Carbide.c++ shows this error when I build my application:
    Code:
    bldmake returned with exit value = 1
    And here is the bld.inf file:
    Code:
    PRJ_PLATFORMS
    WINSCW ARMV5 GCCE

    #ifdef SBSV2

    PRJ_EXTENSIONS

    	START EXTENSION s60/mifconv
    	OPTION TARGETFILE myfirstapp_0xE5853FD8.mif
    	OPTION HEADERFILE myfirstapp_0xE5853FD8.mbg
    	OPTION SOURCEDIR ../gfx
    	OPTION SOURCES -c32 qgn_menu_MyFirstApp
    	END

    #else

    PRJ_MMPFILES

    	gnumakefile icons_scalable_dc.mk

    #endif

    PRJ_MMPFILES
    MyFirstApp.mmp
    The error is in the line 21.

    Please help me fast.
    Thanks

    Re: bldmake returned with exit value = 1

    The 21st line is the empty line before the #endif. Checking the full error message in the Console view may tell more.

    Probably because it doesn't. This sounds like a good old bug in the project templates, I'm sure you will find references to it if you search this thread.
    Look in your project's /group for all *.mk files and find the real name of the script which is supposed to generate your icon (would have a reference to mifconv in it) then either rename it or edit the bld.inf accordingly.

    If the subsequent errors are about KGeneral_Information and a missing xy_12345678.hlp.hrh file, you can comment the affected lines, and the rest will work.

    Now after I commented those lines, when I install the application in the phone, it says the certificate isn't correct !
    Error number: 2153775105

    Sorry for this amount of questions, but I'm new

    Re: bldmake returned with exit value = 1

    Make sure that you are installing the signed file (.sisx). Check that the date and time of the phone is similar to the date and time of your PC. The device will not accept installer files originating from the future.
    In the particular case of E-Series devices you will have to modify installation settings to accept "All" installers (the default is "Signed only").

    Re: bldmake returned with exit value = 1

    At this point you may want to start telling us about what you have done in your application's code. It would appear that the application starts but then it panics and exits. You can try to see the panic code (go to the wiki and search for "extended panic code") and eventually start doing some debugging, either on device on in the emulator.

    Btw, are you sure you want to start learning Symbian C++ instead of Qt?

    What do you think? Qt is easier than C++? And does it has an FEP feature?
    Thanks

    Re: bldmake returned with exit value = 1

    Qt is also C++, and it is easier than Symbian C++. However Qt provides no API-s for implementing a FEP.

    Re: bldmake returned with exit value = 1

    wizard_hi_ is correct, if FEP is what you're after, then Symbian C++ is a must. Be warned however that an FEP module requires high Platform Security capabilities, "ALL -TCB" if I remember correctly, and it is therefore not the type of project an individual can expect to publish on Symbian. Such warning is included also in the readme file that accompanies the FEP example published by Forum Nokia.

    Re: bldmake returned with exit value = 1

    Thanks, seems hard but possible. My idea is in this thread: http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...ry-for-S60-3rd
    But I think I can't make it
    Hope someone do it and share the application for free.
