symbian^3 sdk 1.0 Qt build error: uic.exe: No such file or directory

    Hi, all

I can build qt applications on symbian^3 sdk 0.9 successfully, but some weird error comes up after sdk is upgraded to 1.0.

    ... ...
/bin/sh: /Nokia/devices/Nokia_Symbian3_SDK_v1.0/epoc32/tools/uic.exe: No such file or directory
    ... ...
/bin/sh: /Nokia/devices/Nokia_Symbian3_SDK_v1.0/epoc32/tools/moc.exe: No such file or directory
    ... ...

and more errors raised due to the above two errors.

It seems that something wrong happened to the environment variable or qt make file templates, as on symbian ^ 3 0.9, the correct commands are: D:/Nokia/devices/Nokia_Symbian3_SDK_v0.9/epoc32/tools/uic

    My current environment is:
    symbian^3 sdk 1.0
carbide 3.2(also the same error with 2.7, or upgraded to 3.3)

Does anyone meet the same error, or knows what is the problem? Thanks.

The Qt SDK 1.1 may be a better pick for Qt development.
The Symbian toolchain does not really like drive letters, so if your projects happen to be somewhere else than drive d:, the messages are probably correct.
Anyway, you will probably get better answers in the Qt boards, this thread is going to be moved there now.

You will need to edit the $(EPOCROOT) variable under /epoc32/tools/qt/qt.conf. Then run qmake again and the paths should be fixed.
I'd sugggest you use the Qt SDK 1.1 as well for Qt development for Symbian.

    Thanks for your reply.

I tried your method, but there is no epoc32/tools/qt/qt.conf in Symbiain^3 SDK 1.0.

Also, I have found another interesting clue, if I run qmake in the windows shell, the project can be built successfully both from shell and carbide.

But it fails again after running qmake from carbide.

Sorry Joe, I was looking at the 0.9 SDK. Look under /epoc32/tools/qt.conf. This defaults to presume the EPOCROOT is at root. So you must edit this for it to work.
