How to install my application published in ovi store?

    Hi to all,
I published my first application in Ovi store. To do this I submitted to the QA the application packed with the UID that Nokia assigned me.
My problem is that with this UID my application is not installable because the phone says "is impossible to install an application from a not reliable publisher"
So the question is: this message appears also to people that purchase my application? I think and I hope no. But In this case why I can't install in my smartphone? Nokia change something in my file submitted? I have to purchase my application directly from Ovi Store? Or I have to recompile it using a standard UID?
    Thanks

Which content item is it ? And how did you download it ?

You also would get more standard messages if you would turn your device in english to get the error message. Basically that error message would indicate problems on signing.

The content is SciCalc and I downloaded it from my page in Ovi Store Publishing. But I think that no any problem is in my application... otherwise QA would not have published it
    Is it right?

The message is about the signature. Applications with protected UID-s (like the ones you get from Nokia) can not be self-signed. I guess that is what you are trying to do.
For testing purposes you also got a specific certificate from Nokia, which is valid for your devices (1-5 as I remember) only. If you want to test the application, use that certificate.
Otherwise no, you will not get the final installable file from Ovi, because whatever is signed with Ovi, is supposed to be distributed via Ovi Store only.

Re: How to install my application published in ovi store?

I think that it is a little strange...
How smartphones understand that one files is downloaded from Ovi store and not from a PC?
So Nokia changed something in the file that I submitted.
I have to buy my application?
Mine is not a testing purpose... I want to install the stable release that I submitted to QA. That one that I stupidly changed in my PC to develop next version...
    Thank you for your answer

The phone does not know/care. However it is still true that if you are using the signing support from Ovi, you do not get the signed file back. It is going to be available in the Ovi Store only. So whatever you have at home, that is not the signed sis file which is in the store, thus it is not the file what customers install.

    They signed it.

If it is in Ovi Store, you can buy it there.
Did you lose the source code of your application?

ok thank you for your explanation.
The very important fact for me is that my customer will not have this problem.
I still have the source code and I can recompile and install in my phone.
    Thanks and bye

Re: How to install my application published in ovi store?

basically if you take submitted sis from the publicer portal, and you are using ovi free signing, then at least I would suppose the files in ovi store are different than in the publicer portal. Thus if you really want to test what gets out, buy it from the store.
