    Check internet connection speed programatically

    Hello,
I'm wondering if there is a way how to check the speed of one's connection to the internet. My intention is to let my program choose proper video resolution to be streamed, based on the speed and latency of the connection. Is there some solution to this? Thank you.

Thank you for your response. The exact solution came to my mind as well. So I guess I will try to do it that way.
