    Hello All,

I have some problems while using Qt Mobility 1.2 With QtSDK 1.1.

I have followed all the instructions mentioned at https://projects.forum.nokia.com/QtM...tallationGuide

But when i import and build an example application like sysinfo for Qt 4.7.3 For Symbian^3 with QtM1.2b it always throws me build errors like :

Running build steps for project sysinfo...
    Configuration unchanged, skipping qmake step.

Have you updated to Qt SDK 1.1.1 with its Qt Creator 2.2 ? If so, the explanation is here: https://projects.forum.nokia.com/QtM...ussion/topic/2

The solution: check the corresponding Qt configuration under Tools -> Options -> Qt4 and make sure that the "S60 SDK" field points to the correct location instead of having just "\" as a value.

I just tried with QtSDK 1.1.1 and it looks to me works OK,
Does this command works OK for you (qtsymb-admin.bat 1 .\recipes\recipes_120beta.csv )?

Re: Help With Qt Mobility 1.2

    Thanks a lot. :-)

Actually before posting i changed the S60 SDK path but the culprit was SBS v2 Directory Field which was also pointing to C:\QtSDK\Symbian\SDKs\Symbian3Qt473_12b\ and i didnt observed that as that was by default. ;-)

    Now things working fine, :-)

Any place we should document this ??

This is expected to be fixed by an upcoming SDK update so by the time we document it is should be obsolete

Re: Help With Qt Mobility 1.2

    Hi There,
I'm having a problem to execute the command:
    qtsymb-admin.bat 1 .\recipes\recipes_120beta.csv
Simply put, I don't have that file at that folder (recipes_120beta.csv). Already searched for it like crazy. Apparently it's not even on the qt-mobility-symbian-opensource-1.2.0-beta1.zip file.
(Or, more likely, I'm missing something big here)

Re: Help With Qt Mobility 1.2

Ok, sorry for the initial lack of further details.

What I did (following directions from both the Installation guide here and the INSTALL.symbian file inside the .zip):
    * extracted qt-mobility-symbian-opensource-1.2.0-beta1.zip into C:\QtSDK\Symbian\SDKs\Symbian3Qt473
    * There, extracted qt-mobility-1.2.0-beta1-epoc32-symbian3-PS2.zip (thus merging both epoc32 folders)
    * Copy the C:\QtSDK\Symbian\SDKs\Symbian3Qt473/features/mobility.prf.template file to C:\QtSDK\Symbian\SDKs\Symbian3Qt473/mkspecs/features/mobility.prf (don't bother the /\.. )
    * Ran "configure -no-docs -no-tools -examples -demos" at C:\QtSDK\Symbian\SDKs\Symbian3Qt473, no errors, all good
    * Went back to C:\QtSDK\Symbian\tools (only place I found a qtsymb-admin.bat script) and there executed:
    qtsymb-admin.bat 1 .\recipes\recipes_120beta.csv
then got a "No Such File" which was obvious since there's no such recipe at C:\QtSDK\Symbian\tools\recipes .

So... how many errors you can see there?

Geez, just by describing it I can see it's obvious there would be no recipe there.

It's weird, for me the descriptions on https://projects.developer.nokia.com...tallationGuide seem completely unrelated to the file I downloaded at http://get.qt.nokia.com/qt/add-ons/q....2.0-beta1.zip
(and if they are not, then what file is the guide talking about)

Re: Help With Qt Mobility 1.2

i think you have done it wrong you need to extract the Package inside QtSDK root folder only. And then you need to browse symbian\tools folder to run the csv file.

Please follow the instructions mentioned here https://projects.developer.nokia.com...tallationGuide

Ok, I did that now, My QtSDK folder is a mess but that script finished ok.
Now, out of curiosity, what is the recipes_120beta.csv file?

    Thanks!

Re: Help With Qt Mobility 1.2

Finally sorted out all my problems. I was using the wrong package.

The right package is this one.

    Thanks!

Great you get the things working just FYI the recipes_120beta.csv does nothing but simple extract the required files and place them in appropriate places.
