Re: How to Import and Run the existing project on to the Qt creator

I am wondering why you have problem with this...

Have you tried double clicking the .pro file of the project of yours? Or Have you tried from inside Qt Creator to go under "File" -> "Open File or Project" and select the .pro file of your project?

(PS: i don't think this is the appropriate forum to ask this question because it has nothing to do with Symbian. It seems more appropriate for Qt SDKs and Tools)

Re: How to Import and Run the existing project on to the Qt creator

Well normally since you have opened the project file to Qt Creator, you must have had selected your deployment target (which in you case is Symbian Device). If the project is opened successfully and you have a device plugged in, you Run the project (either from "Build"->"Run" or by the green triangle at the bottom left of Qt Creator or by pressing Ctrl+R). At that time it will be compiled, the .sis file will be generated and then if a device is connected, the application will be installed and run on the device.

Are you able to do this procedure? If not, which are the errors you are getting?

Re: How to Import and Run the existing project on to the Qt creator

hmmm very peculiar error here, Nokia E7, C7 both have Qt 4.6.3 inside them so i guess the problem will be something else.

Nokia C6 is a S60 5th Edition Device and you need to install the Qt binaries there, but if you have C6-01 its again an Symbian^3 device with Qt 4.6.3 pre-installed.

    hello GTO_India

I don't know what have you done, but to avoid everything simplest thing you can do is install the Qt Libraries again which comes with the sdk in the device you want to test. And then try your application.

Re: How to Import and Run the existing project on to the Qt creator

you need to install Qt Libraries in the actual device which you are using for testing purpose.

i will advise you to read https://www.developer.nokia.com/Deve...tting_started/ before developing applications in Qt.

Re: How to Import and Run the existing project on to the Qt creator

In the link that gaba88 sent you, go to Step 3 where it says Set up the Symbian device. That's what you have to do (of course reading the whole tutorial is advised as mentioned above).

Re: How to Import and Run the existing project on to the Qt creator

I have followed the below steps
Start Menu (StartMenu > Qt SDK > Symbian <version> Qt 4.7.3 > Install Qt 4.7.3 to Symbian <version> device) and follow the steps shown on your screen.

May be E7 already has it. It is unable to delete file. I think it is unable to install .
