    OVI store and signing

I have built the release version of the application using the protected UID. I'am confused about what to do next. Should I submit it for signing at this stage. At what stage is the smart installer wrapper created ? Is this created after the application is signed and certified by Nokia signing services ? Or is the next stage, creating the wrapper package ?

if you are using 4.7 then
    1) go to Project
    2) page Run
    3) Uncheck Silent installation
4 ) Open Create SIS package
    5) Select Custom certificate and set certificate and key with files Ovi sent you
    6) Check Create Smart Installer

Then... clean, run qmake , rebuild all
yourapp_installer.sis is what you have to upload to Ovi , then wait for your app pass QA and get published
    Keep it simple, stupid

    Re: OVI store and signing

oops.. I failed to mention. I'am not using Qt 4.7. I'am using Nokia Qt sdk 1.0. Here is what I have done.
I built release version with Qt creator with the protected UID and the dev cert given by OVI. That created myapp.sis.
Then I used the following command
make installer_sis QT_SIS_CERTIFICATE=OVI_2011-07-04.crt QT_SIS_KEY=OVI_2011-07-04.key to create the smart installer package.
and the file myapp_installer.sis is created.
Are these steps correct ? Can I upload myapp_installer.sis to OVI publish ?

If you target platform support Qt4.7 QATest reject your application.
Good way - use QtSDK1.1 and use "publish" option at "build" menu.
At this way nokia's tool create for you sis file for upload it to ovi.store

My target devices are S60 5th edition and Symbian 3 devices. Are you sure I need to build using Qt 1.1 ? I would need to test the whole application again. That is why I didn't use it in the first place. The work was started before sdk 1.1 was released.

I haven't troubles, when I was switched over to QtSDK 1.1 from Nokia SDK 1.0.
But you can use Nokia QtSDK1.0's libraries when you compile app throw QtSDK1.1 (if Nokia QtSDK1.0 are installed at your system).

But do you think the app would be rejected if it were built with Nokia Qt sdk 1.0 considering the targets I have mentioned ? Since I'am short on time, I would do it only if it is absolutely necessary

I think what Nokia bind you to use latest Qt version, wich now avaliable for your target devices.
But now I can't find proof for this.
    May be I'm be wrong.
