Is there a function to disconnect the current internet connection?

I noticed, that much widgets ask for a internet connection and leave them open, also if the widget has been closed.
I reported it as bug and Nokia said that it is a feature not a bug.

So, for Nokia leave open an internet connection, even if I don't want it, is a feature.

My phone should never be connected, it can connect if I want it. But once a widget ask for connection, this connection is never closed. I have to close it manually every time.

Is there a function to close a opened connection? Or is it normal, that every user has to go in the configuration menu, connections, internet destinations, wifi, press on the wifi destination and select close wifi every time he open a widget? That's not really user friendly.

Thanks, Tiger54

PS: A QT application always close the connection, after it was used.
