QtWRT support in MeeGo 1.2 ?

According to MeeGo documentatioon the QtWRT framework was available in version 1.1.
In the N950 (MeeGo 1.2) I can't figure out if it's included or not.
I Have tried to install a couple of W3C widgets that are compliant with QtWRT in the N950 (they are working in N900 - Meamo 5) but got no luck. Both directly ou by downloading them.

Does anyone knows if QtWRT can be used in N9(50)?
I know I can do a sort of port to QtQuick but we have already more than 50 Widgets running in Maemo and it would take a lot of time to do it.

Re: QtWRT support in MeeGo 1.2 ?

I cannot see any QtWRT package installed on the device, so I assume It's not there.
Since WRT it's HTML+JS. Why aren't you using a simple Qt app with QWebView to display your html files?
Or just create a link which opens the browser to your html page?

Do you need anything more than that?

Re: QtWRT support in MeeGo 1.2 ?

We're using the W3C / WRT APIs to access GPS, contacts, local storing, fullscreen, fixed header and toolbar, ...
Executing it inside the browser or in a QWebView will broke that code.

Lookin at a long term it would be better to recode them using QtQuick, but they are too many to do it quickly.

On the other side, our Widget/WebApps framework already supports several platforms (Symbian, Blackberry, Bada, Samsung SHP, WebOS, ...) and we would like to keep using just one code for all the platforms. Using diferent tools/languages will force us to do specific development.

QtWRT is available in MeeGo 1.1 for laptops, so I was expecting it would be available too in the N9(50).
    More on this at:

Any ideias on this would be appreciated.
