    Link to Offline-Maps for Navigation

First we wanted to send our Sales an SMS with a vCard (incl. Geodata), that they couldt use the direction of the customer to navigate.
But we couldn't find a easy and not to expensive way to realise this.

    The target is:
    1. Sending our Sales an SMS
    2. The Sale can use a link (with the geodata of the customer direction) to show it on the Maps of our Nokia E52.
    3. We do not use any Internet-Connection with our E52.

Is there a way to realise such an app ?
    Can anybody help us ?

AFAIK no options really, there is no public interfaces for utilizing the Maps application from external application that would work with all different versions of Maps that are available, also navigation with Maps in general also utilizing network connection, so you can not avoid it.

Re: Link to Offline-Maps for Navigation

haven't checked bute the landmark sms sending is supposedly explained in: http://www.developer.nokia.com/info/..._0_en.pdf.html

Then if you get that saved (or the vCard with location), contact application should have "Find on map" option (actually might have that for street address as well), thus then the user could click that one to find the position on map, and utilize the Maps application as usual for navigation purposes.

of course you could always try out MMS message, and see what you can do with Maps rendering API: http://projects.developer.nokia.com/.../documentation

Then if you could get an application installed into the device, you could build up your own maps handling applciation that could do the routing as well, and you could pass the data to it as you wish: http://www.developer.nokia.com/Commu..._Maps_Examples
